Jessica Hesling is a Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) who has been working and growing in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2015. She first worked as an RBT in Florida at a special-needs school and fell in love with the profession. She later earned her BCaBA credential in 2018 while living in her home state of Pennsylvania. Jessica currently resides in southern Maryland and is working towards her master’s degree at Capella University, majoring in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. From there she plans to sit for the BCBA exam.
Jessica has extensive experience working with neurodivergent children, ages two to twelve andall varying levels of skill development. She has established proficiency in behavior-analytic approaches to addressing behavior reduction and skill acquisition. Throughout the therapeutic relationship, Jessica believes that it is essential to implement and maintain a person-centered approach, catering to the unique needs and values of each individual client. Her methodology in delivering quality clinical care is founded upon the integration of trust, collaboration, and a whole lot of fun!
Jessica’s favorite part of her career is the opportunity she gets to walk alongside her young clients as they grow in developing their autonomy and independence. To that aim, their success is her success! She also has a passion for training RBT’s, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to implement the science of ABA in a flexible, kind and compassionate manner.
During her free time, Jessica enjoys relaxing at home with her cats, hiking with her dog, line dancing, and horseback riding. It is her dream to someday incorporate equine-assisted therapy into behavior-analytic programming for children of all ages and abilities.
